Shortcut for adding Ebooks to library

Hello, is there a shortcut for adding ebooks and the like to your library in calibre? Or do I have to open calibre and drag and drop the file?

Calibre must run to add books. There is a way to sort of queue the add.
Preferences:Adding books: Automatic adding (tab)

Set up a folder for this. Then drop the book there. The next time Calibre runs, it will check that folder and import the books.
NOTE: The book in the Auto Add folder will be DELETED upon a successful add. You might want to keep an original copy elsewhere

On Windows - if you put a shortcut to calibre.exe in the SendTo folder, you can do this:

Name:	Annotation 2019-09-08 082406.jpg
Views:	83
Size:	165.3 KB
ID:	173308

If it's not already running Calibre will start, and the selected files will be added. I have --with-library "D:\Calibre\Libraries\Intake" in the shortcut, if calibre is already running I make sure it's using the Intake library before I use Send To->calibre.exe.

MS should put a Send To drop down alongside Move to and Copy to for the ribbon clickers.

To open your SendTo folder, press Winkey+R, type shell:sendto, press OK.
