How to exit calibre?
I have been puzzled by the lack of any exit or quit menu item that will let me cleanly exit the calibre application on Linux. Am I just missing something obvious or is there really no exit or quit option from any of the menus?

heh, I never noticed that before.... But do you not just juse the Close Button of your Window Manager? That's pretty standard in any Linux Desktop

There are folk here that are more Keyboard centric. There are folk here who love their touch screens. And their are people who do everything with the Mouse. They have their reasons . Some of it may have been from when we started, BM (before mice). FWIW I did not even own a mouse until I got to MSDOS 5 (Started with 2) I have big hands (and now, 1 good eye). Precision Touch on anything smaller that 24" is hard for anything not a Kiosk app. I also started back with Glass Teletypes. MSDOS 2.1 I don't get why folk don't use Tab and Enter to fill out forms (I use Tab all the time in the MDE and grumble about the 'TAB Order" when filling out Series (: (series index needs 2 Tabs to get there after Series). Ctrl-Q is more common for Exit on the Linux side. Windows (only apps) tend to use Alt-F4. You can even get to Windows Shutdown with a few Alt-F4's, from just about anywhere. |
