His Hearth, by Mary Calmes, is a novella in her "The Warders" series of m/m demonslaying paranormal romantic thrillers, free courtesy of m/m specialty publisher Dreamspinner Press as their holiday countdown special for the 28th, to promote the release of the 6th tale in the series, Cherish Your Name.

This one happens to be some sort of slice-of-life tie-in outtake, showing how two of the characters from the series got together (and a 4-flame on the ARE heat index showing, no less, so they must have really gotten together, possibly multiple times).

If upon reading it turns out you like the premise but find yourself more interested in the setting than the sex, some of the other tales appear to be much more plotty and less steamy, with only 3 flames per book and more obvious demonfighting in the blurbs to go along with the relationship drama.

Say what you will about the genre, but a "Gay Demonslaying Paranormal Erotic Romance" certainly covers a LOT of ground! All that's missing is a Pick-up truck, Prison, and a space ship.

Well, in this age of zillions and zillions of works flooding the market in any given genre, sometimes it helps to single out those things which distinguish a book from its neighbours on the virtual shelf and then people can zero in on the stuff they particularly want to read.

Your pick-up truck, prison, and space ship can be found in John DeChancie's Starrigger trilogy, by the way.

But it has no gay demonslaying paranormal romantic sexyfuntimes that I know of. Admittedly, I haven't read my copy yet.
