Android on the Kindle?

Since others have made alternate firmware (DuoKan) - I am wondering if there is any way some group of people could develop an Android or Meego (or Ubuntu) distro for the Kindle? There are already eInk drivers for Android, used on the Nook...

duokan is just an app over kindle's original firmware.Some one already plan to natively run debian on kindle ,serarch the forum.
