Did someone hack the Kindle store or is this through some Amazon self published program?

Can anyone post a screenshot of the offending page? I'm curious to see this.

The optimist in me hopes that this makes you know who realize that she's only losing potential sales by sticking to her anti-ebook stance. |

It might be a Sunday, but I'm amazed that these two books are still showing in the Kindle Store.

i'll be very curious to see how amazon handles this. i suppose the simplest way is to refund everyone's money and remove the book from their online bookshelf, but of course i imagine most of them will have downloaded it already...

The point is, though, that while we may disagree with her choice, it is hers to make, and nobody has the right to take it away from her. I hope that the low-life who posted these books is prosecuted to the full force of the law.

It is a general opinion about anyone who does this kind of thing, yes. As I said, we may not agree with Ms. Rowling's decision not to release the HP series as eBooks (I certainly don't), but the decision is hers and hers alone to make, and we should respect that.

Well, it is not her decision. It is the laws decision. If copyright was valid just for example 2 years then it was OK to release an ebook. And if the law was 2 years there is not reason to respect her wish. So I do not agree at all with your "respect her" argument. I can understand a general follow the law argument.

Here's the screen cap. I thought about this last night and all Amazon has to do, I think, under the DMCA is respond promptly to the take down notice so long as it was posted by someone other than Amazon.
