Note, I've actually tested MRPI (from the snapshots) on factory 5.10.0.2 and it worked. In this case, your problem is you're using a version of MRPI that's too old so even installing customer firmware isn't going to solve the problem. |

Amazon's Kindle Software Update page. Just tweak the version number in the URL .
EDIT: Whee, missed a new page again! . |

Otherwise, if you want to install 5.10.1.2 (your only other choice at the moment) then change the "_5.10.2.bin" sub-string of the URL to "_5.10.1.2.bin" Last edited by knc1; 01-05-2019 at 05:36 AM. |

Ok.. So I've updated my kindle to 5.10.1.2...
Im still not able to see kual on my kindle. Can someone link me to the exact steps to be followed to install kual? I've extracted the extensions and mrpackages folder to root and copied the coplate update to the second folder. Ran ;log mrpi Device restarts but nothing shows up I assume the.azw2 file to the documents folder because I read that it is redundant |

@thechordmaster: You're still using old packages. You need to get your stuff from the snapshots.
EDIT: Hmm, or possibly you've got leftovers from the old packages. Delete *all* of these first (at least those you can find from this list): Code:
linkss/bin/fbink linkfonts/bin/fbink libkh/bin/fbink usbnet/bin/fbink Last edited by NiLuJe; 01-06-2019 at 11:58 AM. |

Whew folks!
Finally managed to get KUAL and install the screensavers hack. One last question. I installed Koreader from github... Now everytime i open filemanager from its options, my kindle returns to the screen. I have already copied a few epubs to my documents folder. Anything i missed out on? |

I wonder if it's because OP has an Indian variant of the PW4 (G001 0209). |

Ah, no, that's my bad.
I knew I'd forgotten to add the two Indian PW4 somewhere, and you just found out where ;D. It'll be fixed in a few days . Last edited by NiLuJe; 01-07-2019 at 01:25 PM. |
