(solved) covers have disappeared
Hi,
I'm using Calibre for more than one month now, and everyday. I love this software. I use Calibre on my main computer and my tablet. My library folder is sync in dropbox. Everything was ok until now. But now all my covers are not showing, instead I've got the cover book icon brown and when i want to read a ebook it tells me that there is no format. I checked every single folder of every book, the cover.jpg is there and the epub file. Can someone help me to find a way to make all the covers and format appeared again ? Thank you veyy much SOLVED Don't know how it could have been possible but in my dropbox calibre folder all the covers and epub were deleted and I don't know how ! Yes, I had read the link about sync devices and I chose dropbox because it said that it would be ok to use it for sharing. Now I understood why all my covers and epub inside each folder on every single book were deleted : when I was using Calibre on my tablet I have change the sort list of author by setting it in "key author" and on my computer it was set by author name. |

CC does not ever write to the cloud and it does not use dropbox-synced local copies of files. There is no way it can alter the library in the cloud.

The problem happened the next use right after I changed the order list on my tablet. In the "calibre library" in my dropbox, I had two folders for each book. One with the surname and name (author sort), and the other with the name "," and surname (key author). That's why I guess the problem was from that.
What I did : delete the library after saved it. On my computer the library sync is named "calibre library computer", and on my tablet Calibre I created a copy of the computer's one andnamed "calibre library tablet". Sorry for my english, I'm french ^^ Thank and have a nice day everyone Maud |
