Trouble with Plugins

Hi,

I'm new here. I am having trouble with adding plugins and updating them. When I try to update the existing ones, I get the following error message:
calibre, version 2.67.0
ERROR: Update Check Failed: Unable to reach the plugin index page.

I'm afraid I don't know much computer lingo. I know how to do what I need to do, but not describe it in words a computer expert would. I also don't know what any of the above means. Can anyone help me translate the error message and let me know how to fix whatever's wrong?

First, update calibre, and if that does not help, you can always downlaod the plugins manually yourself and add them to calibre by going to http://plugins.calibre-ebook.com and downlaoding the plugins you want. Then click the add from zip file button in Preferences->plugins in calibre to add the downloaded plugin.
