Seriously, Apple added a notch as the compromise to it's many sensors and cameras that enabled facetime. But then the "notch" became iconic and the copy cats put a notch without even needing one. At least those who went with the "hole punch" had a better take than simply aping Apple.

Airpods are indeed a superior experience. Which is Apple's way. You can still listen to your wired headphones...just with a dongle.

You know....like we all had to back in the day when the mini plug was new and everyone's stereo had the large sockets. It's not a big deal.
