This looks like one of Kobo's one-time use codes, so wouldn't expect it to work again, now that @bgalbrecht has used it...

Sadly, I used it to to buy a book that is cheaper over at the U of Illinois ebook sale. I was hoping it was one of those one use per account codes.

It's not Kobo, but ebook.de site has code for 15% for international books. It seems to work on all publishers the only catch I ran into is they don't have right to sell me all ebooks but I'll take what I can get. I believe today is the last day. (and you'll need a little bit german to browse the site)

So I just recieved an email from kobo saying they have topped up my kobosuperpoints to 4000 points. (the extra bonus points will expire on August 22 or 24 (not quite sure which as the main text of the mail and the details at the bottom have different dates)).
Anyway others may want to check their accounts and see if they got it too, and spend it before it expires :-)
It seems they want you to buy a VIP membership but you can also use it for books

Got the same -- and I had <2400 points so great deal. Used the points to upgrade to VIP (and a free book for upgrading).

I got it, but after checking around a bit I wonder if it's worth the time to find something I can get for 4000 points. As with most freebies, the ancillary costs can be pretty high.
