My Kobo Reader has shipped!

Just received email notification from Chapters that my -- er I mean, my wife's -- Kobo Reader has shipped. I pre-ordered one for her for a birthday present. Now I'll have to try to refrain from opening it up and trying it out before giving it to her later this month.

Good stuff. I am considering getting one for my wife. Trying to get her on the ebook wagon.

It looks like a great reader for the price. One thing though, is that in all the pictures I've seen of it, it doesn't look like it displays total number of pages (just pages left in current chapter), which is kind of a bummer if that is the case.

My shipping confirmation came in the wee hours of the night. It's being shipped US ground mail which I assume to be via the postal service. Hope to see the Kobo reader soon!

So... how can one order one of these in the States? Or do we have to wait? Chapters' website won't ship an eReader to the US.

Can the Kobo eReader have DRM ePub AND PDF eBooks co-resident?

I understand that the Sony PRS 300 can not.

I have DRMd ePubs and PDFs on my Kobo Reader, so I would say that's a yes

My -- darn! My wife's (gotta remember it's not mine!) -- Kobo Reader arrived today. Of course, her birthday isn't for two more weeks so I have to resist the urge to open up the packaging and check out the reader.

Hmmm... Maybe her birthday should come early this year.

I think that's only the case with library books.

Like any good husband. You should load it up with some of her favorite authors and give it to her charged and ready to go. Or am I the only good husband out there?
