A question about time zone

Hi

I am from Singapore and got a PRS-950.

The available time zone is all north american time zones. I set the time to local Singapore time. If I turn on and connect to wifi (and sony store), the time get change to reflect the US time zone that was set upon.

Is there any way to work arounf this? Or is there a way to add other time zone?

Thanks

Hi Goondu,
I'm also from Singapore and having the same question about PRS-950.

This problem doesn't bother me much, but it seems rather idiotic to me that Sony decided that a list of half a dozen time-zones would suffice.

But then again I shouldn’t be complaining, I sent PRS-600 for repairs and received brand new PRS-950 in return

AFAIK the russified firmwares allow all possible timezones to be set.
See Flashing the firmware or
Russifizierung Sony Reader 350/650/950 (v. boroda)
or
Russifizierung Sony Reader PRS-350/650/950 (v. amutin)
