Edit Calibre Database as a spreadsheet

Hello All,
I have been using Calibre for a while to manage my ebook collection. I have over 10000 books. I just managed to load 2000 into the database.

The process of adding books is fine. But the real problem is editing the metadata. Initially, I would click on each book, open it and then copy the ISBN number, put it in the metadata dialog and then let Calibre download the rest of the information.

Lately, I have developed a process which extracts the ISBN number from the ebooks and for each file, puts in an Excel spreadsheet.

The books in Calibre are sorted in exactly the same way as my Excel sheet with the ISBN numbers.

I would now like to add all these ISBNs into the Calibre database with one copy/paste process. For this, I guess the Calibre interface needs to be in a spreadsheet format.

Is there any nifty solution for what I am trying to do?

Thanks in advance

Astaire
