I recently received the image for the Kobo N249 Clara HD. However, I seem to be missing some files, including the waveform.bin file. Does anyone know how I can get that?

What you received is the image of the µSD card from a working N249 Clara HD after a factory reset. All files would be present though some items such as the waveform information are not present as files but are written to the reserved area before the first partition.

I am attempting to fix my mom's completely hosed Nia, and the SD card appears to still be functional despite not being able to boot. All roads led to this forum, and I appreciate everything I've seen here so far.

Thank you for the reply! I'm seeing stripes on my screen when I try to start my Kobo N249 Clara HD with this image, so it might not be fully compatible. Would it be possible to receive another image or maybe that waveform.bin file?
