Hallo from Brussels

This forum I have joinded, since I am very interested in reading e-books. During my search through the market I found out that most online shops are bound to the restrictions put on them by Microsoft and Sony: No easy access for netbooks with Linux OS.
I have nothing against saving the copy rights of book authors and I have very much against the philosophie that everything on the web should be for free. Good work should be paid properly.
As in a normal bookshops I am ready to pay for a good book. However, I feel quite angry about the fact, that with DRM on the format epub or pdf or mobipocket only PC's running on XP are able to load the books.
I am absolute unconvinced about the SONY or Kindle e-book reader as the only permitted version fo a reader. The e-ink is quite nice but without coulors?
My little Acer netbook as thousends of ASUS or HP or other Linux based small PCs are much better suited since they allow coulors, TABLES AND DIAGRAMS. I believe that the book trader make a big mistake here. And since 6h accus are available there is no battery problem anymore.
Anyway I understand that I will find here in the forums many people thinking similarly. I hope that I also find the advice I need to get access to all e-books on the market.
As pdf reader I use "evince" and I use FD Reader for the epub and mobiread format.
