Question Compatible Wacom pens

Hi Folks,

we all know, that the stylus for the iLiad is not so overly big. So, has anybody tried to use his/hers other Wacom pens that lay around? And can say something about compatibility to the iLiad?

Here is a small quote, which sums up the findings from pitchfork on this issue:

the felt tip is smoother to work with, much like using a soft marker pen.
I used one of the tips from my Intuos3, however you cannot use the Intuos pen with the Iliad. I also tried a Graphire 2 pen that did not work either. So it seems that only the older pens (my ArtPad II pen is 10 years old) work with the Iliad. The Wacom Cross pen should work also.
So, who else has gathered experiences with other Wacom stylus?

Greetings,
Frank

I've got a Wacom "Erasing UltraPen" (UP-701E). Writing works fine, the eraser works, but does the same as the writing side, and the side-button does nothing. (tested with iLiad 2.4 only)

I've tried it with the Wacom pen of my tablet PC. I'm not sure which model the pen is, but it works perfectly (except the "right mouse button side-button").

Works great with my Cross Penenabled Executive Cap-less Stylus. Well, wonderful except the eraser doesn't erase.

Could you guys with alternate pens test whether the Iliad really disables the screen when the original pen is in its rest?

Hmm, good idea. I'll try that tonight (with a now totally dead battery my unit spends its days at home now.)

I can confirm that when the iLiad stylus is in the iLiad the digitizer is off. (or at least it isn't recognizing the stylus...)
