http://armdevices.net/2010/03/02/han...der-prototype/
Hanvon is working on a 8″ and 9″ e-reader prototypes to be released once the software and the screen are stable and mass produced. |

Eww a stylus.. I'd prefer it if I could switch between stylus when drawing/taking notes and finger for moving pages and what not.
I'm not sure how successful these new grey-scale devices will be though, I was under the impression color technologies like mirasol were going to deliver both reading clarity and color and would be everything by mid 2010..? |

I prefer a stylus myself. And I don't expect colour until the end of 2010, probably only 2011.

If this has the same formats as the others, this just might be the one I get (finally!) If, of course, it comes out before another 8 inch ereader with the formats I need.

Something like this would be the manga reader I'd purchase.

Wow. A third reader I might have to consider.

I didn't like the feel of it. It might be because it's just a prototype, but the plastic backing was way too slippery and cheap feeling. But it responded fast. (until I opened an epub book, I think I crashed it ...). And the overal looks of the thing was nice. Give it a more rugged finish (at least not cheap plastic that will slip from your hands) and it's a nice device!

The device itself looks pretty handsome, but hmm, Windows CE...
They really need to provide an option to dismiss all the interface elements on their reader application. Multiple icons at the top and bottom of the page = ugly. |
