Unhappy Titles being changed to "My Format"

Hello

Help needed please.

I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere and it is probably caused by something I've typed, ticked or offended in Calibre (v 2.48)(Windows 7).

After updating the metadata for several epubs to my naming convention (series series_no title) I converted the books to epub format and then saved the created epub to a directory. Covers, synopsis, series & author all appeared fine.
BUT the saved files all had the metadata title changed to read "My Format"!

What have I done/not done and can it be fixed without me re-entering all the titles again?

qtbunni - Why do you put Series name and number in the Title within the library

The Save to Disk feature has an explicit provision, via Preferences>Save to Disk->Template setting, to do that when the save is done. See ==>> Techniques to use plugboards, custom columns and templates

You can type 'literals' into a template.

Normal usage is to include them as additional terms to be used along with fields.
Code:
"00noseries/{author_sort[0]}_authors/{authors}/{title}
00noseries/A_authors/Hans Anderson
It appears your template was clipped from a post and you did not make the user field substitutions (templates can only be used 'as is' if they only apply to standard calibre fields)

Hello

Mystery solved - somehow "My Format" was entered into the plugboard under Save to File. Not something I ever knowingly changed.

Thanks for the advice on adding series names etc. Makes it easier.
