It would be a toss-up for me between Bryson, which I want to read even though it lost the race for Book Club, or Catching Fire. As you seem to have really enjoyed the first in the series, it's worth reading the next two, IMO, though I do think Hunger Games was the best of the series.

Thanks Orlok!

Forgive me friends, but I ended up opting for something completely different!

We took the kids to the bookstore yesterday, and I mentioned to my Hubby that I was interested in reading The Color Earth, the first book in a manga series I stumbled across while perusing GoodReads.
As we were still searching the shelves, (it turned out not to be available at that location), Hubby pointed out Chobits another anime/manga series. He saw a few episodes online and thought I might like it. The had the omnibus containing books 1 through 4.

I'm now 9 chapters in, and although I could not explain why, I am enjoying it! I already have the 2nd omnibus on order (as well as the Colors series). I also watched the first 2 or 3 episodes. The show and the books start at different points in the story, and the translations are quite different, for certain scenes, as well, but both cover the same points, eventually.

These will be my first forays into anime/manga.

The first 3 books in The Great Book of Amber by Roger Zelazny (currently avg. ***), plus a few other books not on the list.

I'm now trying to decide between:

1. Finishing The Hand of Oberon (Great Book of Amber #4) which I started yesterday.
2. In a Sunburned Country (My Library/Overdrive hold came through today)
3. Catching Fire
4. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Borrowed from Library/Overdrive yesterday)
5. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (MRBC Selection)
6. The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao (Which has been waiting patiently on my dresser)
7. Purchase The Gone-Away World (Quite spendy @ $11.99) ~ I've decided not to spend the money just yet. Maybe in a week or two.
Forget everything on that list. Go for the Wool Omnibus. You have it and it's better then that list.
