mobi convert to ePub, cover OK in iBooks, not Stanza

I have a supplied mobi file. I've used Calibre to convert to ePub. On my iPad the ePub looks great in iBooks but in Stanza the cover page (first page) is blank. (Pretty confusing when you open a book and all you get is a blank screen.)

I looked at the jpg file extracted and used by Calibre and it is 900 x 1280 which seems too large to me. Could the dimensions of the jpg be the reason it's not being displayed in Stanza?

Other ideas?

I have to fix this as this is intended for distribution.

Try setting an output profile (Sony is always a good default) and try converting. Otherwise I would ask the Stanza people about cover page limitations.

I've used "generic" output profile and (using an iPad) I've used the iPad output profile. No difference.

As info, I loaded the output ePub file to Sigil and checked it and it reported "No Problems" with the ePub file.

I'm a novice at actually looking at ePub code but here is what I think is the cover code, - - it looks the the cover is being set to 640x450 (generic output set):

<image height="640" width="450" xlink:href="../Images/cover.jpeg"></image>

As additional info: I used Stanza (Mac desktop) to Export an ePub from the mobi, loaded to my iPad, and the cover showed fine when the book was opened in Stanza. So it appears to be an issue with the Calibre (converted) epub file.?????

Under EPUB output, disable SVG covers.

Ahhh... I had missed that option.... Works great now! Thank you very much and thank you for a wonderful product.

I have just made a contribution via PayPal.

Thank you for Calibre!
