E Ink decided to sell e-paper screens directly
Good e-Reader is reporting that E Ink has online store with e-Paper modules. They are also going to sell driving boards with Touch panel.

A very good news !

The price is very high to make a e-reader for a private usage (mainly for the 13.3"), but it's a good solution to open the market and make the solution cheaper in a long term. But it's Christmas season, so I can ask to Santa

I doubt prices will drop. Think of these as development kits, intended for business/ developers to create prototypes, not for hobbyists to tinker with.

I wonder if the 6.8" display is the same as the Kobo AuraHD? The connectors look right. Is it the same part number Markismus? (ED068TG1) It could be a way to fix a Kobo with a broken screen.

@Ken I hear ya. 145€ is a lot more than sellers on AliExpress are asking (Around 60€).

Strange that in the categories HULK/ICE/SILK the devices don't all have the same headers.

It's a Carta screen. It might be the same part as in the H2O.
