Yes, it's very much like an EZ Reader, but with our own firmware, content, accessories and AU/NZ support.

lol, I didn't think of adding an ECO Reader stubby holder to the accessory list.

Too late now. Xiaopanda's already patented the idea. In fact, looking through all the newly registered patents, it looks like he's gone through the entire encyclopaedia & dictionary and lodged patents for every "stubby holder attached to [noun]" possibility.

I'm very interested in investing in the "Stubby Holder Attached To Prohibitionist" when it comes to market.'

Cheers,
Marc

I'm very tempted - for my wife you understand. Is it available at Reader's Feast? Is there a downloadable manual?

Please do keep us informed about the Australian ebookstore.

the "ez reader" is a rebranded hanlin v3 from Jinke (they sell through many distributeurs), like the BeBook as well. this is also a V3. same hardware ; sometimes the firmware is different, as is the case here according to cbell.

For your wife, yes, I understand

Yes, the lovely people at Reader's Feast bookshop in Melbourne CBD will be demonstrating and selling our ECO Readers and they'll be very happy to accept over-the-counter and phone orders.

Regarding our new ebookstore, tech_au and Alex, I'll post more info when I announce the website. Adobe DE ePub format will definitely be available - ePub will be THE ebook format for Australia.

Chris, does the new e-book store mean that we will be able to access more content from Australian authors.

Hi sianon! Yes, we'll be selling OverDrive's ebook content and we're planning to load our own content, too.

We're currently sourcing ebooks from local (Australia and New Zealand) publishers to sell on our website.

I believe we'll initially be offering over 100,000 ebooks for sale. OverDrive has several of our ECO Readers now and they're testing ebook formats on them.

We want to do this really well!

For PDF and ePub files, the ECO Reader has 5 x zoom levels. You can rotate the page at any zoom level.

Attached, from the left: Jellby's Alice in Wonderland PDF showing the menu. Pride and Prejudice, tagged PDF version, zoomed x 2 and zoomed x 4.

What's with the difference in price between AU and NZ? Not that I mind all that much - the price difference appears to favour NZ buyers...
