kindle 2 and the TTS
Hi I would just like to know a bit more about the TTS.Does this only work on books that you get from Amazon or can it work on your own files.
Also what is the best format to convert files for the best results on kindle. is there like a pdf to azw, or txt to azw, or lit to azw, thanks |

TTS works on your own files. MOBI is the best format for the Kindle. AZW is MOBI, so what you are looking for is "any2mobi". Calibre is the best single tool for this.

For LIT files, I think personally that "ConvertLIT" followed by "Mobi Creator" does a better job, but Calibre does it well too, I agree.

TTS works *better* on your own files, since it's sometimes disabled for Amazon's books.
