Calibre library corrupted - slightly freaked out!
I say slightly because I do have my Calibre library backed up to a external hard drive and use Sugar Synch so I technically haven't lost any of the books. However, I have to figure out why this message is coming up. When I first opened up Calibre, no problem. I imported a book just like I normally do. Closed it and went to fix dinner.
Came back later, opened it up and got the corrupt message. I am stumped. I have been searching and found a couple of threads regarding this, so I will try and figure this out later. I am sure it has something to do with the metadata file - just have to restore if possible. I am somewhat technically savvy but don't profess to be any type of programming guru. The upside to this is that all my data is available, just have to figure out how to get it back into Calibre without having to do each book one at a time, given my library is over 5000 books. It makes me gag just thinking about it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

There is a "restore database" function. It should add most of your information, but not plugboard info, and such.
It works |

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I am trying the restore function and it is not working. This is what I am doing:
1. Opening up command window 2. Changing directory to the Calibre library 3. Typing in the following: calibreb restore_database "--really-do-it" NOTHING! I am getting back below: 'calibreb.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
