Could it be like the story told on The American Radio Company Of The Air about the first person to eat raw oysters*? Could someone have dared someone to shave themselves with a simple blade and they liked not having to go to a Barber for a shave?
*Someone dared a caveman to eat one and he liked it. While they laughed he chugged down a few more because they were really good. |

Have you ever tried the traditional method of shaving by plucking out your beard hairs with a clam shell?
BTW, most of the claims for multiple blade razors seem to be centred around increasing comfort and reducing skin irritation rather than how close the shave is. |

Wouldn't my experience with my new razor (Harry's) back up the assertion that more blades equals more comfort? In addition, didn't the additional blades increase the closeness of my shave*? *Not only was my shave more comfortable, but it was much closer (my shave lasts much longer than with my old two-blade razor. |

Am I too much orthodox still using my 40 year old single blade Gillette razor gifted by my father?
Why does none of the two blade and five blade razors suits me? Is it a matter of sentiments only? |

Could it be that the type of shave you get with a single-blade razor is what you associate with a proper shave?

But does it match up to a cut throat razor for closeness of shave?
My oldest brother still uses our father's and to quote him: "You'll have to pry it out of cold dead fingers." I tend to believe that it's more about the whole routine of stropping the razor, the hot towel, etc. than the shave itself but like his opinion, it's my personal opinion. |

Could this related to the reason for the recent resurgence of vinyl (LPs and 45s)? Could part of the attraction be the ritual* you have to go through in order to listen to a record?
*Carefully remove the record from its jacket, handling it only by the edges and label, put it on the turntable, brush it with a record-cleaning brush, shoot it with a static-nullification gun, turn on the turntable and set it to the correct speed, lift the tonearm and (finally) drop the stylus on the edge of the record. |

My process is much simpler. Take record out it's jacket and drop it on the turn table. Lift the tonearm (auto started the player which is at 33 RPM) and drop the stylus at the start of the record. For CDs? Eject the changer, find an empty slot or remove a CD to make an empty slot, hit the eject button again to have the player pull the changer in, select the right disk # and hit play while juggling the removed CD. |

They say it is better to be poor and happy than rich and miserable, but how about a compromise like moderately rich and just moody?
And where can I find the names of "They"? |

Isn't "they" a collective term for a general group of people who agree on some point when making an assertion?

Isn't it better to cry in a Mercedes rather than crying in a bus?
