Hello all,

Just placed my order for a Kindle 2, scheduled to be delivered on Saturday, August 22nd, but will hopefully arrive much sooner. Can you tell I'm a little antsy to play with my new toy?

hi jason, choosing which device to get is hard, waiting for it to arrive is even harder, waiting for it to charge once it arrives so you can play with it is the hardest !

welcome to mobileread. take a look at our e-books section ("e-books" link in the blue nav bar at the top of the page) to stock up on plenty of brilliant books, all formatted by our members ! so you'll have plenty of reading lined up ready to go. for the kindle, you'll want mobipocket format.

Several of my co-workers have ebook readers (1 Kindle 1, 2 Kindle 2's, and a Sony 700)... I've been jealous for so long! The only people who aren't happy are all the people I've been passing my books to after I'm done with them. Guess they'll need someone else to finance their reading from now on!

Another co-worker showed up with a new Kindle 2 last night... and according to Fedex Tracking mine is finally in SoCal, so looks like it will deliver on time Saturday!!!

There's nothing juvenile about being excited about a new reader, at least I don't think there is. Now, if you started going, "na na na na naa naaaa," to people who don't have a reader, that would be juvenile!
