The jailbreak is a work in progress I'm developing called "MountSus"
The planned release date is Christmas, I've had some minor issues with the new Kindles but working on well, a workaround

As always, do not update and stay on airplane mode

I'm unsure if the new kindles have mass storage drivers, they use mtp since they switched the userstore to ext4.
