[GUI Plugin] KOReader Sync

Recently I had to wipe my Kobo / koreader and copy all the books again. I have this plugin to sync the read status to Calibre; when I restored my books, I copied all that information back to to Kobo. I can indeed see the .sdr folders in there, and the metadata files inside.

However, koreader doesn't seem to be able to refresh that information. I tried "Extract and cache book information", but that didn't seem to do anything. Is there anything I can do to make koreader refresh that information, so that I don't have to set the read status by hand -- which defeats the purpose of the plugin?

That was a bit harsh on my side, actually, I take it back. It doesn't defeat the purpose of the plugin, but makes the Calibre -> KOReader sync a manual process.

Coreader sync does not work. I downloaded the plugin directly from calibre and when I start the koreader sync setting, all types of synchronisation do not work

And a great thanks for that plugin that's work well from my PB632 to Calibre.
Waiting to the both way, from Calibre to my PB, I have 450 books already noted read and rated on Calibre that I would like to sync down on KoReader, if i've well understood the ebooks need to be open one time at once with Koreader before than any sync from Calibre to PB could be possible. Right or not ?

Hi. There is an option in KOreader to save sidecar files in the 'docsettings' folder. Unfortunately, the plugin does not work in this case. Is it possible to fix this?

yeah I think so, it depends on the device itself but if you close it may disconnect from wifi/cable

yeah, this is limitation of the calibre driver not the plugin itself

Actually I managed to implement it in case of Pocketbook device. I am not a programmer, but chatgpt helped me

All my books' content metadata sidecar are stored in calibre as ebooks' metadata. Tried to fix them manually after "Sync missing to KOReader" but there are lots of books with lot of highlights/notes

I store my KOreader books in a .books folder on my Kobo. When I try to sync with the plugin, it doesn't look in this folder. Is there any option for me to have this work, or do I need to store my KOreader books somewhere else?

I just want to prevent Nickel from adding those books to my regular Kobo reader.

Hi, this is a very cool plugin is there a way I can use this with other tools to create a backup of my library and reading progress that will sync to cloud storage to keep a backup for if my laptop dies?
