How to find books with a specific character such as "&"
I have a vast library and I want to identify the books that contain an ampersand symbol (&) in their titles.
However, when I type "&" in the search bar, I am still shown the complete list of books, as if Calibre is unable to distinguish this symbol. Is there any workaround for this? Thank you. |

You need to use the ‘Character variant’ search type. See the calibre search documentation.

Just in case anybody else have a similar question, the answer is this: title:"^&" |

The Advanced Search feature avoids having to remember specifics of calibre's search term syntax .
I think of it as a Search Assistant. BR |

And FTS is awesome for research, or a writer or programmer, if you select the desired books/texts first, either manually or by the cunning Search or Advanced Search
