Do not install this firmware on older devices until I check some stuff. It looks like it may cause issues.

For what it may be worth, installing the Clara BW KoboRoot.tgz on a Clara HD and Mini worked with no noticeable issues. OTOH, on a Sage, it required a factory reset to get out of a boot loop that kept trying to do an ADB connection every 20 or so seconds.

Yes, that worked for me too, but it bootlooped my A2v1, so I'm hesitant to say it's okay in general until I know why it isn't working.

Also, kobo sign-in doesn't seem to work properly right now for some reason.

There have been conflicting reports that the Clara BW has a different CPU then the previous Claras. Doe this mean that they have the same CPU?

How does the firmware decide on which variant to boot into? Via affiliate.conf or via some identifier in the chipset or something else?
