Session Timeout

Its happened a few times that while I have a window open typing a response that my session will time out. I am redirected to a login page but as my credentials are saved in a password manager I have to use the login box located in the top-right. It will tell me thanks for logging in and attempt to redirect me as intended back to my post but most of the time it just sends me to a blank white page. I want to say it may have worked once or something but I can't be sure.

If I lose my text I usually just move on. I know there are workarounds and I can use another window to see if I am still logged in or copy my text to post after restoring my session. But if anyone knows how to extend the time out or even set it to stay logged in when I have a window open, it'd be much appreciated. If not then I suppose I will adapt as I use the site more frequently.

If you can tick the "Remember Me?" box at sign on, you shouldn't timeout.

Don't feel bad - I had the same problem! Other web sites I've used (ATT/Yahoo web mail, for example) kept me logged in as long as I was actively using the site without checking "remember me" so I wasn't expecting this site to log me out while I was still using it, and after a relatively short time.

This is the only site I've encountered that does that. Yes, it got me, too, when I first started coming here.
