I purchased from Amazon a Captain America issue for my Kindle 4.
It did not download automatically, and when I tried to download it manually, Amazon said that it is incompatible with my Kindle. I have had no trouble with my Calvin and Hobbes comics. Any suggestions? |

New Humble Bundle is up, and it's for:
Humble Comics Bundle Garth Ennis presented by Dynamite, mostly consisting of assorted volumes and complete story-arc issues of the popular author's series The Boys, Battlefields, Jennifer Blood and his work for The Shadow pulp franchise. Quite a bit of The Boys and The Shadow have appeared in previous bundles, and I think some of it is still being offered in the current Groupees offerings for The Dynamite Fantasy Bundle which has been extended and which now offers you the option of purchasing all the previous Dynamite Groupees bundles as higher tiers, and the current Bundle of Independents. But all the Battlefields stuff and the particular Jennifer Blood volume look new, and it seems like a good way to get everything in one place if you don't already have it. Current average is fluctuating a lot, but under $11 (extra books will be added next week), top-tier is $15. And there's a free daily comic issue offer if you sign up for the newsletter (as with previous HB Dynamite daily comics samplers, you only have to do it once now and you'll get the rest auto-added to the key page that you get, rather than like previous years when you had to come back and click on the offer daily to get each new comic). Well, Comixology prices the Complete Battlefields volumes at $15.99 each, and Vol. 2 of that only takes you through 6 story-arcs of what's being offered in the HB, so as long as you read through 7 story-arcs, you'll have gotten your money's worth at the top tier even if Dynamite later holds a 50% off sale. Speaking of sales, Comixology is holding the Darwyn Cooke sale for up to 50% off assorted DC Comics titles of his (single issues), through May 16th. Cooke is one of my favourite creators, and I would especially recommend The New Frontier and his Solo issue out of that. His Before Watchmen minis are also pretty decent (the Minutemen one is the better of the two, although the Silk Spectre one with story by him and art by Amanda Conner is also nicely done if you wanted more backstory on the characters), and so is his artwork in the Catwoman run written by Brubaker. Want 20% off all your Marvel/DC Comixology and Dark Horse purchases? $50 iTunes cards are $40 at ebay right now. Probably won't last long.

Interestingly, the new version of the Android Kindle App mentions this new feature:
