I'm so old that in my younger days we didn't even have writing. We just put all our important stories into a rhyming, epic poems along with a catchy tune so we could remember it.
But seriously I guess that wouldn't work now in our modern age. For example, ask almost anyone to correctly recite all the lines to almost any rock song. Chances are they won't get it correct. I suspect that is because we now rely so deeply on writing. Last edited by jswinden; 09-18-2013 at 01:35 PM. |

Even incremental improvements are good. For reading I prefer an ebook reader for convenience. no pages flopping around. I am fine with the resolution and even the greyness. Still a white or slightly off white background would make me spend big bucks.
I don't chose a grey background for my browser or word processer etc. I want white Helen |

I don't think I would prefer a white background. Given a choice, I think I would choose cream, or even a nice light salmon like the Financial Times. Background color options is one of the nice things about color e-ink, should it ever hit the market.

Cream, beige etc. would be fine, as long as nothing fancy or fussy. I don't want to notice the background. I actually prefer a dull grey to the bluish cast of the front lighted ereaders I have used. Any lightening up of the grey is a good thing IMO but for me the light just changes the color.
