ive been hearing about google certification required now for google play store, does that mean this device and future onyx devices won't include google play?

nonetheless im really interested in this device -- i miss the frontlight on ereaders and am looking to pick one up.

Nova and Poke now appear on Onyx's products page. The Nova page says that the Nova is available now (?) and that the Nova Plus will be available later. Neither Amazon nor Aliexpress have the Nova listed yet. I emailed Booxtor to see if his shop would have the Nova. Haven't had a reply yet.

As far as I know, Boox will release Nova in domestic market before Nov 11th for it's the craziest shopping day in China.

I was told that the draft system version 2.0 has been finished and will enter internal test phase soon.

Although their focus is on new products, at the same time they are working on coming 2.0 for adaption to Note and Max2 with some new functions such as double-pages reading in one screen.

I saw that, so I emailed Boox. Here's the response I got:

Thank you for your support of BOOX. Sorry, our Nova is still under the R&D stage, pls focus on our official website, any news will release here.

So, why does their site say that it's available now? A mystery!

In the video recorded 2 days ago at the Hongkong Electronics Fair he says the Nova will be released in November or December.

what was the reason to decide making the nova without the flush screen of Nova plus?

mainly cost? or an issue with the front light?

flush screen feels really nice, but I realized I need front light

Nova can be ordered on Nov 1st ( shipping on 11th ) in China, 1588 RMB including tax, around 230 USD.

No flush screen, same as Note.

The price is reasonable, I'm going to buy one.
