GoodEreader says there'll be a new kobo for Mother's Day!

GoodEreader continues their 100% accurate Kobo prediction string with this:

Kobo is releasing a new e-reader on Mother’s Day with Audiobook support

Industry experts have told me that the new Kobo e-reader will be a replacement for the Kobo Aura Edition 2 that came out in 2016. I believe that Kobo is going to simply release the Forma Limited Edition in Canada, US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. They will be able to charge more money for the unit, because people will likely pay more money to listen to audiobooks on a Kobo branded E Ink device. I have also heard that they are thinking of increasing the storage space from 32GB to 64GB.

Wait, so are they replacing the Aura Edition 2 or are they releasing the Forma Limited Edition?

It is currently unknown if Kobo will offer a bundle for the e-reader with audiobook functionality and headphones.

Why are so many people down on these guys. They have been right, kinda right and wrong in the past. Who gives a flying fig if the aren't always accurate. Everytime they say something accurate or not someone complains here....Jesus....smh...lol

I think it has a lot to do with their questionable business practices. Certainly, their behaviour in regard to their shuttered Indiegogo campaign verges on criminal.

Because they've been wrong - and not just wrong but spectacularly wrong - so often that it's pretty clear they are making stuff up. They are the Daily Mail of ereader news, and we mock them for it.

In addition to what's been posted by others, these guys blatantly steal content. Nate once posted a story to his blog as an April Fools joke. These guys stole the premise of the post and ran it as fact.

Additionally, according to posts I've read here, their website began as a place to download pirated ebooks.

Michael and Peter have a well earned reputation for the scorn which they receive.

They're now in the midst of very quietly backing off of the promised release date of the Likebook Mimas they put up for pre-order last month. About a week ago they went from a specific release date to "some time in the next few weeks." Ordinarily I don't necessarily blame a site for a product delay but IMO they made up the original specific release date in the first place. Nobody other than their site claimed a specific January release date for the Mimas outside of China. Likebook itself still hasn't put out a specific date!

Because he's making it up as he goes. Well, not actually even making it up. He's stealing other people's stuff and pretending that he's verified suppositions as facts. It's sleazy and dishonest. It's click-bait to move traffic to his site. He doesn't need to do this. He's produced a lot of videos, has run a lot of comparisons and reviews and has actual news about eReaders. Why can't he just be honest about it? (And why can't he give credit where credit is due?)

When they are right, they are right because they stole the information they got that was correct. They come to MR and steal information from here and do not give credit to where they stole their information.

When they are wrong, they are REALLY wrong.

And they cannot do a Reader review worth anything. Watch their Kobo Vs Kindle reviews and watch how poor they are. They have no clue what they are doing.

I dont see how you can steal information on the internet.
Information is not copyrighted. If I see a news story anywhere I can talk about it on my channel for example.

To me the problem is that they don't link to or name their sources in cases when they could do so. It is a clear attempt to keep readers coming back to their site instead of allowing readers to evaluate the quality of the original sources for themselves.
