Stuck in demo mode
Hi!
I need some help... I got stuck in demo mode while trying to see what it was like... and something went wrong (something I did of course). It used to have KUAL installed many years ago, but recently the kindle got updated and then I lost KUAL, tried to bring it back and in my desperation I got stuck. It's a Kindle 7th Generation: is touch and it has only one button, the power one. I found many threads with similar situations and I think that the only way to go is the Serial Interface but the thing is that I dont have access to a 1.8v uart usb adapter (only 5v or 3.3v). If this way is the only way I would try to use the 3.3v but I want to be sure there is no other way. The device is stuck in this screen thats says: This demonstration device is either missing content or is disconnected from the network CONFIGURE DEVICE. But when I touch it it just changes the image. I can reboot it but nothing happens. When I plug the Kindle in the computer it shows as an empty drive. I have Windows and linux. Amazon support only offers me to buy a new kindle but I know that there must be a way to bring it back. Any suggestion is welcome! |
