Bricked Boox Note 5
I was attempting to test an image using fastboot boot <image> and something went wrong. Now the device is stuck in a loop. Unable to complete booting. If I press the upper-right screen and hold the power button until the LED turns off then release the power button it seems to be partially in EDL mode but using edl, I get the following message:
Error, couldn't find suitable enprg/nprg loader I've got an EDL cable on the way but I'm not convinced that'll save me at this point. Anyone have suggestions? XenosCR |

First of all, you don't know where you're at. You need to determine how your device is presenting. You can use the venerable UsbView.exe (Windows) and see what the USB is presenting as EDL bulk load or EDL diag or who knows what. In Linux, lsusb -v will tell you too.
Moreover, what do you get when you boot normally? Did you lose (or never have) ADB? Normally a fastboot boot shouldn't kill anything. (Me, I've never figured out EDL cables. I'm not sure if it needs Vbus or you have to time it right or whatever. I just use EDL test points.) |
