Kindle Android app download
Is there anywhere I can download the install package for the Kindle Android app - apart from Amazon that is.

I had it working well but it advised an update was available and wouldn't download it. I decided it would be simpler to uninstall and re-install. It was only then I realized that Amazon had begun to enforce regional restrictions (presumably the reason it wouldn't download the upgrade).

Shame, because it was working well as a channel for buying direct from the US Kindle store.

No, all that does is prompt the phone to do an install - which says it will download and then forgets it. Presumably refused by the server on regional grounds.

No, they advertise them on Amazon UK and Amazon DE as well, it's just that they're probably more region-centric/restricted now.

I'm pretty sure the problem was with the Appstore, not the apps.

The Amazon Appstore is limited to the US only.
