Heart of Stone, by Jill Landis, is a Christian historical romance set in the 1870s, 1st in her Irish Angels series, courtesy of publisher Zondervan.

This is free for non-Canadians in the Kindle store, and has a good chance of also showing up at B&N and possibly Sony, since Zondervan are fairly generous about having their freebies in most of the stores.
