Free books (nook, Sony, Kobo, Kindle) - 15+ assorted Mystery, Romance, Christian, etc
Well, it seems that the Christian Fiction publishers are putting out the freebies for the US post-Thanksgiving weekend.
Some of these titles also showed up free earlier at Amazon or Kobo, but it looks like not all have individual threads yet, so I'll put a round-up below for convenience. Also, a secular NOOKcolor kid's freebie is Twelve Hidden Days of Christmas, and the various holiday Samhain romance offerings (their B&N books are for some reason DRM-free, so will work on Sony or Kobo too) listed in the post with the Free Fridays paranormal Battle Sylph still seem to be free, as is the Free Fridays holiday bonus B&N Classics illustrated and annotated Grimm's Fairy Tales. Courtesy of Tyndale House The Judge Who Stole Christmas, heartwarming legal drama by Randy Singer. Also at Sony, available to Canadians. Fireflies in December, serious YA dealing with racial issues by Jennifer Erin Valent. Also at Sony, available to Canadians. Courtesy of Revell The Potluck Club: A Novel, 1st in Potluck Club chick lit series by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson. Available at Sony and Kobo to Canadians and presumably others. Stuck in the Middle, 1st in Sister to Sister series, chick lit by Virginia Smith. Available at Sony and Kobo to Canadians and presumably others. Courtesy of Zondervan Sophie's Secret, repeat freebie from the YA Faithgirlz Sophie series by Nancy Rue. Available at Sony, though not to Canadians. A Horse to Love, part of YA Keystone Stable by Marsha Huber. Available at Sony to Canadians and possibly others. Stories Behind the Best-Loved Songs of Christmas, music history by Ace Collins. I had no idea there was such a place as "Arkadelphia". It sounds like an anthropomorphic shipping portmanteau. Available at Sony to Canadians and others. 26 Days, 26 Ways to Make This Your Best Christmas Ever, self-help by Ace Collins. Available at Sony to Canadians and others. The Case for Christmas: A Journalist Investigates the Identity of the Child in the Manger, non-fiction by Lee Strobel. Available at Sony to Canadians and others. Happy reading! |

Might as well bump this thread up with the newer stuff that showed up yesterday, since all the individual threads are now buried under that slew of short-lived Amazon glitch freebies.
Troublesome Creek, Christian historical fiction by Jan Watson, from Tyndale House. Sony and Kindle, available to Canadians at both. Huckleberry Finished, #2 in cozy literary travel mystery series by Livia Washburn, from Kensington. B&N, Kobo, and Kindle, free for Canadians at the last two. As you've probably guessed from the title, this is a Mark Twain-based one. The odd thing is that Kensington's seen fit to put out a new Kindle edition, dated Nov 2010, while this is the 2009 one. I kind of wonder what the difference is. Once Bitten, paranormal romance by Claire Willis. B&N and Amazon (free for Canadian Kindlers). Silent Screams, police procedural serial killer thriller by C.E. Lawrence, free at Amazon and Kobo for Canadians, also at B&N. Those last 3 books have a good chance of showing up free at Sony, too, since Kensington is usually pretty generous that way. ETA: a former pre-order has shown back up as a NOOK freebie: Everybody Eats Some Zombie Sometime: A Book of Zombie Love Songs, horror humour by Michael P. Spradlin and Jeff Weigel, courtesy of HarperCollins. Last edited by ATDrake; 11-30-2010 at 05:55 PM. |
