What readers have landscape view?
I apologise in advance if this is the wrong forum for this question.
The background for this question is that I have been asked to prepare a book of poetry for ePub and mobi versions. The author wants the lines of text to fit on one line, without breaking. Some of the lines are so long that they break even at the smallest size type face when viewed in portrait mode, but they can be read when the Sony and Kindle I have used for testing are in landscape mode. What other readers are capable of reading in landscape mode? I've checked the comparison chart in the wiki, but don't see the information there. Regards, Alex |

The Aluratek Libre Pro and Libre Colour both do landscape.

You could create the poetry in PDF sized for a 6" screen and then as long as the device was a 6" screen and supports PDF, you would be all set.

I use ONLY epubs on my Astak Pocket Pro. Though I don't use is normally, epubs do rotate to landscape. That was only one of the many features that gained the loyalty of the Astak users. Too bad they couldn't compete in this new market.

Thanks for all the responses. That's most helpful.
Like patrickt I don't do pdf, and even if I did the typeface size would still be very small to get a 60 character line to fit in portrait mode. It looks as though most ebook reader devices will to landscape mode apart from the Kobo. I'll check out the Nook website to see what it does. Regards, Alex |

What if the user has the font size set larger than the default? I assume that the lines will wrap.
