Say byebye to expensive E-ink devices? (With Flex E-ink)

Flexible e-ink, and from the looks of things, prices on these things will come down, and fast!
Manufacturing Flex e-ink is cheaper than regular e-ink screens, and can't break as easily.
That means less the need to make rigid devices to keep the glass substrate from breaking, more of a plastic and less metals needing to be used in housing, lighter in weight, thinner, and perhaps soon even faster response time than current e-ink technology!
Resolution of 1024x768 (which is a great resolution, even for comic books); perfectly compatible with touchscreen, in fact, they could almost put a capacitive touchscreen BEHIND the screen, while the screen flexes under the stylus instead of a substrate floating above the screen obstructing the view of the reader!

I'd love to see this!
Currently the only con is that the screens are a bit glossy (though not too glossy)!

Flex E-ink does wear out faster over time when using it in combination with a stylus.

Seeing both weaknesses above, it seems to me they will need to provide the screens with screen protectors that are matte, and replaceable!

For the moment, forget about rolling up the screen in a pipe-like device, the screen can't be bent very far. The main application is to allow minimal surface stress due to device and/or screen torq, thus allowing the screen to survive a fall, or a hard bend (like when sitting down with a device in the pockets of your tight jeans)!

If I'm correct, manufacturers will be able to melt the screen onto a plastic back surface, and hide the electronics, and battery compartment under the keys (just like our current readers have).
That's like a device thickness on the screen of less than 2-3mm.

Personally my dream device incorporates this, with a custom made ARM chip on a small die (eg: 28nm,custom made to run a super light OS, with plenty of file format playback abilities), and a battery enough to give it battery life for 2 months of continuous reading!
