Problem with disappearing Bottom Menu Icons on Android device

In my interface of KOReader I have a problem with the 'bottom menu'. The 'bottom menu icons' are not visible, it falls of the screen. Of course I changed the value at the screen DPI, but only when I set this to a very high number ( like 'Extra-Extra-Extra Large (640)) it becomes visible, but then all the items in the top menu and bottom menu are very big.
It is not that I tapped the Status Bar touch zone to hide my Status Bar. It has something to do with the reserved space at the bottom of the screen.
My phone has a Super AMOLED-display of 120Hz and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px.
Is there a way to set KOReader back to it's original default settings? Perhaps that will do it? Or does somebody know how to solve this?

Android version: 13
Samsung One UI: 5.0
Samsung model: A53
KOReader version: 2022.11

I also had a problem a couple of weeks ago with my KOReader bottom menu tabs on a Samsung Galaxy running Android 13.

It turned out to be a problem with the whole screen being lowered to avoid the camera cutout at the top of the screen. I was able to go to Android settings - Display - Camera cutout to change the KOReader setting from 'Auto' to 'Show camera cutout'

That's good.

So far KOReader is the only app where I've needed to change that setting.

Yup, it's specific to Android 13 (tracked in https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/9446).

This is currently stalled because none of our Android contributors have an affected device

.

The release of LineageOS 20 should help with this (i.e., once I update my own device, I'll finally be able to look into it. Since said device is my daily driver, I'm waiting for the dust to settle a bit on the point release (and, also, to find the time to do the whole backup + migration/update dance

).
