I've been downloading books from them since 2010. This sounds like a really good list, but I wonder which books will be available worldwide. Last year, quite a few titles on the list (more than the previous years) were geo-restricted.

Are these free to keep or only free to borrow? I notice it uses Overdrive, which currently says my reader is incompatible. :-(

Free to keep although once the promotion is over, you won't be able to redownload them since they're not tied to any account. I think all of them were DRM free MP3 last year, so you can make backups.

They are free to keep. SYNC uses the Overdrive Media Console to download the mp3 audiobook to your computer. After you download, you can transfer and play the mp3 on any device.

Oh, thanks. That'll work for me. Still gonna have trouble borrowing library books with this system, though, at least until I can get a new reader or tablet. I hate the thought of having to buy new gear when the old still works quite well for most things.

Here's a list of the books with geo-restrictions. Only 5 titles have restrictions. The other 19 are available worldwide.

Many of you living outside of the United States would like to know if SYNC is available to you. Of course we want you all to participate, but some of the individual titles have international restrictions that originate from the original publisher contracts.
