Schach auch auf dem Pocketbook 622 Touch (+ Sokoban) - Kurze Anleitung
Hallo,
da ich gerne eine Partie Schach unterwegs spiele (wenn grad keine Lust auf Lesen da ist), habe ich das PBChess mal ausprobiert. Richtig gut, für mich die ca 7 € absolut wert. Die Bedienung ist top, es gibt zig verschiedene Spielstärken, man kann gegen Computer oder zu zweit spielen. Oben drauf gibt es noch Sokoban. Schach kann man 5 Minuten testen. Die englische Ableitung auf der Seite ist allerdings nicht ganz korrekt (zumindest für das PB Touch), deswegen beschreibe ich kurz mal wie es zum laufen gebracht wird (Ähnlich auch bei Sokoban). Das heruntergeladene Archiv enthält zwei Ordner, "pbchess" und "applications". 1. "pbchess" ordner wird auf den internen Speicher kopiert des Touch. Nicht in den Application Ordner, sondern in die oberste Hierarchiestruktur (Beispiel: unter Windows wäre das direkt C: ) 2. Die Datei pbchessXXX.app in dem Ordner "applications" des heruntergeladenen Archives wird in den Ordner "pbchess" kopiert. Wenn jetzt im Hauptmenü des Touch Anwendungen gestartet wird, navigiert man zu dem "pbchess" ordner und startet die pbchess app. Genau so funktioniert das auch für Sokoban. Will man das jetzt länger als 5 Minuten spielen muss man es kaufen - das geht über die Homepage (man wird verlinkt) zB mit Paypal. Im Bestellprozess muss man die Seriennummer des Pocketbooks angeben, die wird einem auch angezeigt, wenn man pbchess unregistriert startet. Daraufhin bekommt man eine Mail, in der einem der lizenschlüssel mitgeschickt wird - den fügt man dann einfach in der pbchess.cfg in der untersten zeile dazu, sieht ungefähr so aus: license_key=SCHLÜSSEL (SCHLÜSSEL natürlich durch den Zahlen/Buchstabencode ersetzen) Damit sollte es dann laufen. Vielleicht macht die Beschreibung den Zugang zu dem Programm leichter, ich hatte anfangs Probleme bei der Einrichtung. Keine Ahnung, inwieweit das Programm offiziell oder homebrew ist, jedenfalls wird es anscheinend auch von Forkosigan empfohlen (s.o.)... @Forkosigan - ich glaube die Liste der unterstützen Geräte müsste geupdatet werden. Schach für pocketBook
Es gibt ganz sicher einen Grund, nur ist er mir nicht bekannt:
Warum nimmt man nicht einfach das Schachprogramm, was ohnehin schon installiert ist? Kostet nichts extra und tut es auch. ...oder etwa doch nicht so richtig? Gruß Max |

Auf dem Touch ist kein Schach vorinstalliert, jedenfalls war es das nicht auf meinem. Auf dem 611 hingegen schon. pbchess (das gekaufte) habe ich nur auf dem 622 gespielt, von der Spielstärke, den Optionen und der Optik her ist es jedoch viel besser als das auf dem 611. Nach meinem Empfinden. Die Touchbedienung gefällt mir auch gut. Wer sich jemals einen Schachcomputer in den 80ern gekauft hat lächelt über 7,- €. Jetzt mache ich aber auch keine Werbung mehr - vielleicht hat es ja noch jemand probiert und kann was dazu sagen. Besonders die Meinung von Spielstarken Forummitgliedern würde mich da mal interessieren.

Ach so, ich bin einfach mal davon ausgegangen, dass Schach auf jedem Gerät installiert ist - dann ist alles klar. Sorry für die kleine Verwirrung ;-)
