eBooks ohne DRM
Ich habe gerade bei libreka.de gesehen, dass der nagelneue Roman von Ken Follett, "Sturz der Titanen", angeblich OHNE DRM erschienen sein soll. Darüber hinaus sind zahlreiche eBooks desselben Autors angeblich ebenfalls ohne DRM-Gängelung erschienen.
Wenn dies der Wahrheit entspricht, fände ich dies sehr bemerkenswert. Endlich mal geht ein Verlag bei einer namhaften Veröffentlichung diesen Weg und verzichtet auf DRM. Das wäre in der Tat sehr lobenswert und sollte unterstütz werden. Weiß man hier Genaueres darüber? Noch hab ich weder von libreka.de noch von Bastei Lübbe eine Antwort. Ja ist anscheinend bei allen Büchern von Bastei Lübbe so, wohl einer der guten Verlage. =)

Dass Apple ihre DRM "Fairplay" nennt, empfinde ich aber schon als etwas ironisch. Was ich aber eigentlich fragen wollte: 20% unter welcher Printversion? Hardcover oder Paperback?

Also dett wees ich nich.
Aber ich schätze mal 20% unter billigerem. Sprich: wenns nen Taschenbuch gibt, 20% unterm TB-Preis, wenns keins gibt, 20% unterm Hardcoverpreis. Wie des is wenn ein Hardcover rauskommt, dann das Ebook und danach erst das TB... das weiß ich nicht - kann man das Ebook dann noch im Preis runtersetzen? Fragen über Fragen. |

Tjaja, das wird einfach gemacht ... Buchpreisbindung hin oder her. Und keiner beim Börsenverein regt sich darüber auf. Als ob es ein ungeschriebenes Gesetz wäre.

Die Preisbindung gilt ja nur jeweils für eine einzelne Edition. Da Ebooks, Softcover, Hardcover und etwaige Sonderausgaben als eigenständige Editionen gelten, kann der Preis auch bei jedem beliebig festgelegt werden. Das Ebook dürfte beispielsweise also völlig rechtens für 5 Cent preisgebunden werden, während Softcover 12 Euro und Hardcover 25 Euro kosten.

Matt danke für den Hinweis auf Lübbe, hab jetzt mal direkt nachgefragt, ob eine drm-freie epub auflage von eddings geplant ist. sollte dem so sein kommen die bücher aus dem "to scan" in den "ebay" stapel

David Eddings war ein super Autor, ihm hätte ich wirklich ein wenig mehr Bekanntheit gewünscht. Bin gespannt ob und wann du eine Antwort erhälst.

den wunsch teilen wir beide. ich finde es ist eine besondere leistung, dass er im vollen bewusstsein mit den monomythos varianten zu spielen dennoch schaffte etwas fesselndes mit sehr sympathischen und individuellen figuren zu erschaffen.
sobald was kommt schreib ich - aber hoffnung auf ne antwort hab ich wenig. wenn ich wüßte wo es problemlos geht hätte ich längst die ebooks in original geholt. wenn jemand bereits positive erfahrungen hat, wo man aus DE e-books in engl. original bekäme (also nicht spätestens bei eingabe der zahlungsdaten ein geo-einschränkungs-infotext aufpoppt) freue ich mich über jede pm. würde mich ungern bei drölfzig schopportalen anmelden, nur um anschliessend lesen zu dürfen, dass ich nicht darf... wer hat die odysee bereits hinter sich? |
