Problem install calibre 0.6.33 (linux x64)

I'm getting the same error.
Retying the download. (10 minutes later)

Nope same error again, looks like a bad file.

try downloading the tar.bz2 file from sourceforge instead and then manually untar it in /opt/calibre

I tried, and it worked with one remaining issue, however: calibre does not mount automatically my device any longer. But if I mount it myself, then calibre identifies it correctly.
I also tried to download the "linux_installer" script and modified it so it downloads and installs the previous release of calibre. But this also fails in the same conditions as it fails for the last release.

If you do a manuall install, then the calibre mount helper is not installed. Try the normal install again, I made a change to the installer script that should make it more robust.

OK then stick to the manual method and just put the attached mount helper into /usr/bin with the suid set (so that it runs as root)
