can different versions of Calibre run on the same machine?
If I use a different library path can I run two versions?

theoretically yes, though I wouldn't recommend it as if you forget and make a mistake, your library could get clobbered.

Well I guess i will try that. I don't have thousands of books in my library. To do that I would have to go illegal and I won't do it. I have about 90 legal books and documents in there and I'll just back them up to a flash drive.
