SD Card causing freezing of T1
I have been using an older 8 GB Class2 SanDisk with my T1, which had provided good service in my phone. I formated on the T1 and it was fine in transferring data. From time to time (once a week) my T1 would freeze. I had the latest firmware, so that was not the issue. I recently got a new 16 GB Class 4 SanDisk and using that in the T1 for 2 weeks -- no freezing.
Wanted to pass this on. I know from others that the SD cards can sometimes misbehave or work one device but not another. Apparently that is the case here. The class 4 SD card is also much faster (did not bother to clock it) for about the first 120 books or so transfered. After that it slows down to about the same transfer speed. I noticed this regardless of using Calibre or Sony Reader to transfer. This is not really an issue for me, as I do this only when I need to recharge the T1. |
