I have a question about Calibre & Punctuation.
I was searching in Calibre's Search Bar for the author Elizabeth A Reeves and got no results. I knew that I had at least one of her books, so I searched the authors names myself and found Elizabeth A. Reeves. Is there a way to search the author's names and have any punctuation ignored?

When searching it can be a good idea to cut down the search term. Calibre will match against all the characters supplied, so omitting some can widen the search.

I'm guessing you used authors:"=Elizabeth A Reeves", the '=' signals you're looking for an exact match, its absence signals you're looking for a contains match. If I wanted to be precise, I would have looked in the Tag browser for 'Elizabeth A. Reeves' in the Authors/R list. BR |
